  1. I learned that getting out of the bonds of child labor is extremely difficult, especially if there is no family member who is very well trained. What these people go through is terrible.

This game shows how sad child labor is, some kids have never been to school and have always worked in factories or on feilds

almost all of these kids have been working their whole lives and never went to school and the few who have are still part of the child labouring and its very hard to eliminate child labor!

  4. Child labor is very hard to even think about. How can children be treated so bad? Most of these children had to help around the house or go to work over getting an education that they very well deserve.

  6. In this game i learned that Child Labor is a very sad thing. Also the choices that they give me in the questions were hard to answer because no matter what i chose it would effect something else.

  7. i found that it was really hard to get people to go along with you and try to eliminate child labor. and i agree with shelby child labor is a horrible thing.

  8. I dont see why your character cant just donate money to the family. That would eliminate child labor all together beacuse the only reason why they are worked so hard is for money.

  9. I learned that getting out of child labor is an extremly difficult thing to do. How people could do these things to children just amazes me. This game shows just how hard it is for these kids and them doing it by themselves makes it much harder

  10. I learned that its hard to get out of the bonds of child labor and go to school if you dont have any moiney in the first place. its amazing how poeople can to this to these kids.

  11. I learned that sometimes although you try to help kids by giving them an education, it is their parents' lack of an education which keeps pulling the family back down into povery and child labor. The only way to stop this is to make sure the next generation gets an education so their children will at least have a fighting chance.

  14. Basically, these children have been robbed of their childhood and forced to labor through out their young lives. It is sickening that so many children are neglected. Stopping child labor seems like a difficult task.

  15. I agree with Danielle, passing on the lack of education is not a good way to push the next generation to success. Education is key.

  16. When playing the game it was difficult to help a family by giving funds of the company to help get tthe children into school, even with all good intension be denied. Living that kind of life would be so stresful on all members of the family especially if you were in school and wanting to help make money for the family

  17. I agree with Danielle. If we focus on making sure the next generation gets well educated the percent of Children involved in Child Labor will decrease to an extreme. I'm not saying we should give up on the ones already involved it's just very difficult to actually get out of Child Labor once your in it because Children aren't really old enough/strong enough to fight back and defend themselves...

  18. This game made me realize how sad it is that child labor even exsist. the question they would ask me on the game were very difficult to answer especially when every decsion i made effected another one. I agree with anthony because it would be hard if you had the choice to go to school because you would want to go but then you would also feel bad for not working and making money for your family.

  19. In most cases Child labor has a good reason that doesnt benifit the childs future but has to effect the presemnt because of the family struggleing to eat or pay the bills things are had and they try to make the best of it but the child is serverly damaged per say in the future

  20. I agree with Shelby, Child labor is a horrible thing. But most family's in that position need those kids working to keep income up just because the parents don't earn enough by themselves.

  21. Chi;d labor is a terrible thing i agree with kevin. It is an advantage to the rich and a killer to the poor. These kids work very hard for little pay but it is hard to eliminate.

  22. It was hard to make decisions because it constantly effected the families mostly negatively. The game made me see all the struggles and hardships Child Laborers go through and its a hard concept to deal with.

  23. there were only a few cases i could manage to come out good. most of the decisions i made resulted in negitive effects. judging by this game, it seems very hard to escape the hands of child labor.

  24. Child Labor is awful and disables intellegent students from getting a good education. Also it is stressful for the social workers to decide who deserves a better life because every child deserves a good life and its not fair that some children arent as priveledged and you have to list them.

  26. This game is sad, showing how hard it is to be and get out of child labor. Many have worked in facories all their lives never experiencing education or connecting with friends. I agree with leanna, it is hard for the social workers to find a child who deserves a better life because every single one does, and should. Child labor needs to stop. Atleast they need to be maturley grown and educated before working anywhere,.

  27. When playing this game, it made me realize how Child Labor affects people and families. Seeing that families want the best for their children (education) but they are too poor to fulfill that is very disheartning. It is also hard as a social worker to make these hard decisions, no one should be put in these situations, everyone is equal and deserve a happy life.

  28. Child labor is wrong. Majority of the kids subjected to child labor have never receieved an education. They've been worked their whole lives, trying to support their family, which is not the way it should be. Children are supposed to be supported, not supporters.

  29. I think that child labor is wrong only if it's forced. If they want to work, then let them and if they want to go to school, let them. As long as the children aren't being forced, I don't see the problem, but forced child labor should absolutely be stopped!

  31. Child labor is something that is really hard to stop. There is always a series of events that needs to happen to help one child, which means a lot of steps to help every child.

  32. The game has shown to me ow terrible child labor is and how badly it effects the child and the family too. TO help one child involves many steps but its all worth it to help.

    ReplyDelete
  33. its difficult to make decisions based off of what you think is right at that time, unless youve been through what the children involved have, in most cases were just looking out for a childs best interest but it negativley effects the families in the process causing them to suffer a great deal because of the lack of income into their homes

  35. i learned that trying to help kids and familys in need isnt easy . you have to get bonds and have volenteers help out for toutoring and stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  36. this game was pretty depressing many children want to go to school and learn but never got the chance to. instead of having an education and spending time for friends they just worked to help support their families. i wouldnt be able to just pick one child to better their life as a social worker because mainly all the children need and desperatelty want a better life. child labor affects millions of children and i strongly agree with sarah that it's a sad topic and issue in our world today. child labor is an awful thing to think about. many people see it as easy to overlook, but hese kids have been robbed of their childhoods and forced to work in factories for their whole lives.

i agree with stephh gillis, she seems to be on the same page as me being againsst child labor and all!

  39. Child Labor is obviously wrong and cruel, kids don't have the opportunities to become educated or really succeed in a stable nation because they only know what these awful dictators are teaching them.

  40. I agree with Leanne I think it would be great to volunteer or help aquire funding to benefit the children.

  41. Child labor is a terrible thing, yet it is also something that's difficult to prevent. The children affected are put through alot and after the simulation I see how privleged we are to live in a country where child labor is far more scarce.

  42. I learned that child labor is something that the children really have not control over and that it is very diffiocult to get out of because they need the small amount of money to survive.
