  1. In playing the game i realize that you need to take in account what the people want, but sometimes you need to decide if what they want is for the best, or in their own personal interest. i also learned that its hard to get energy for the wind mills produced little energy.

  2. I learned that it is hard to maintain a good balance between the publics happiness and the finanial apsects as well as using environmentaly friendly techniques. It's hard to keep everyone happy

  3. I found this game rather difficult, trying to keep costs in line while also maintaining air quality and controlling the damage done to the earth. And I agree with Shaun, it's hard to keep everyone happy when they are asking for completely opposite things to happen.

  4. This game was very hard. It made me realize its pritty hard to control the city and its enviorment. Especially seeing all the damage done to the the earth and keeping the energy maintained. I also agree with shaun, it is very hard to keep EVERYONE and the enviorment happy!

  5. i learned that providing energy for a city is and can be more difficult than you would think. some sources are more efficient and more powerful than others, but they can also have a greater negative effect and can be worn out faster than the weaker sources.

  6. I learned that there are multiple areas of the environment affected by each type of power, and that Oil makes the air quality extremely poor. And I agree with tim that it is difficult.

  7. I agree with alisa that this game was harde to play, but i also realized that it is very hard to figure out what energy plants to use for what the people want. Another thing that i learned was that some of the energy plants have a bigger effect on the environment than others.

  8. i learned its hard to maintain energy and wind produce not a lot of energy, also i learned its difficult to even provide energy

I learned its hard to keep the energy without affecting the air quality and its hard to keep everyone happy.

i agree that it was hard

  10. after playing this game i learned that mainting money and health conditions are all hard. you can always keep one of them high but to get all of the high you have to be very skilled.
I agree with everyone who said that doing this would be hard.

  11. I learned that it is very dificult to balance economics, aswell as members of the city and their health. I know that I would not want to be dealing with this situation because yes, would you never make everyone happy and meeth their needs no matter how hard you try.

I like what Shelby said by saying that some energy plants can effect the environment more then others.

  12. I learned that it is really hard to keep up with the polution in the air and still keep all the energy plants.
i also agree with shelby that certain energy plants effect the air polution.

  13. I learned that it takes alot of money to make enought energy for a city to run on and that if there isnt a good balance of types of fuel, there is negitive effects on the enviorment. i agree with shelby and lauren.

  14. By playing this game I learned that it is a lot harder to run a city than once thought. Haviing to try out different methods of getting energy was time consuming and expencive. Having a clean enviornment is extremly hard to do and while having people be happy can be a serious challenge. You need a good balance of different types of energy to have a properly running city. I agree with Brendan you need a good balance.

  15. When playing this game i noticed that using nuclear resources were more expensive but had a better overall effect on the environment.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Also i found that it was best to start the turn off with getting your energy to 100% then appealing to the needs of certain people.

    ReplyDelete
  17. When i played this game i learned that factories and powerplants make air quality verry bad .
I never realized how hard it is to keep the air clean.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I also found out that using wind farm stratigies helped the air quality alot.

    ReplyDelete
  19. i did not really understand the game but i realized that taking care of energy will eventually cost a ton of money and it makes the air quality really low.. everyone needs to start using those wind things to make energy and solar energy to save the world!!!!

  20. I learned that the way to go is nuclear power. Up untikl the point theres a huge earthquake and theres a melt down.

  21. After playing this game i realize that you cant make everyone happy. Just try to balance everything out and its a difficult task.

and i concur that it was a difficult game

  22. While playing the game i found that the way to go was renewable energy.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i agree with connor the melt down would pose a problem

    ReplyDelete
  24. i didnt really understand the point of the game but saw that it was hard to keep everyone happy

    ReplyDelete
  25. i agree with alisa that this was a difficult game to play. supplying enough energy for the city wasnt just benifiting the city but making a negative impact. the wind farm energys helped the air quality in a positive way.

  27. The game, was veryu difficult to handle after a few years when money begans top dwindle. Air farms and solar panels cost a large amount of money to buy but get the air and earth clean. The power plants did alot of damage to the eath and the air near the city. Clean air and earth keep the people happy which is the overall goal

    ReplyDelete
  28. i agree with kyle go renewable

    ReplyDelete
  29. From this game I learned that it is hard to maintain energy as well as keeping the air safe, keeping a budget, and making families happy. It was hard to decide whether there should be more energy and less money or more money less air polution and less energy. I learned we should reduce energy usage. Anthony is right that clean air would make people happier.

  30. I learned that everything in a city is connected. You have to learn how to balance everything, as well as keeping families happy and keeping the enviroment healthy.

I agree with kyle. Renewable energy is the way to go.

  31. I concur with Jim, it was a difficult game and it isnt easy to make everyone happy

  32. Everything in the game is connected, how we affect the environment choices how we are able to live and keep the earth clean

  34. I did amazing, the environmental health and air quality were at 100 by the end of the game. I should definitely run the energy portfolio for every single town/

  35. At first when I started playing this game, i found it very difficult I was horrible at meeting the peoples requirments, keep the enviorment healthy, and keep under budget. My second time around I got pretty good at it. I was able to balance peoples needs, keep under budget, and I tried my best to keep the enviorment healthier but that was very challenging. After playing this game I realised how exspensive it is to run a city by natrual recources, it may be more effective for the enviorment but it does leave quite a whole in your wallet! This game also made me realise how much damage other unnatrual recources do to the enviorment. People need to discover a way!

  36. From this game I learned that single-handedly destroying the air quality, ruining the environment, and bringing a complete collapse to the economy can be fun.
Seriously though, a person who really sucks at this game and is not mature enough to understand the game could take it this way and make it their job to destroy the world.

  37. i agree with anyone who said the game was a challenge. But/And i think it is to point out how in everyday life it is a challenge to no overuse resources (non renweable) and to make everybody happy at the same time while maintaining a clean environment such as air, water etc..

    ReplyDelete
  38. I learned that oil makes the air quality poor and unhealthy to breath in and that each type of power source effects the enviornment. While most types of power cause issues in the enviornment, natural resourses are a healthy way to live, although it is very expensive. The game was challenging, but i agree with sarah, it seems like it was the point to show us how difficult it is to maintain a clean environment while not overusing resources.

  39. It much be really hard in real life to keep up with the polution in the air and still keep all the energy plants.

    ReplyDelete
  40. i agree with anthony because this game was very hard and i can't imagine doing it in real life.

  41. I learned that the way to go is nuclear power. Up untikl the point theres a huge earthquake and theres a melt down. I also think that Alec has a great point on the game.

  42. This game made me realize that it's a tough decision to make when it comes to needing the power plants and oil, and to not wanting the pollution around. Because we do need energy and oil for everyday things, but at the same time we also don't want pollution destroying our environment.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I learned that to provide an efficient energy supply in a city, you must consider all of the following:
    -air quality
-local impact on the rest of the environment
    -budget you must stay within

I also learned that there are many variations of industrail resources, such as oil, coal, electricity, solar power, biofuel, natural gas, etc.

    I agree with Nick's post

  44. The game was hard because you had to sacrifice something in order to obtain something else, like air quality and happiness of people living in the city. The energy sources that were better for air quality cost more and were harder to buy when you start to run out of money. Every source you use has a downside to it so theres really nothing to do thats perfect yet.

  45. [ amanda neil ) this game was hard .

    ReplyDelete
  46. i thought this game was difficult because when you provided the city with energy it would polute the air.

    ReplyDelete
  47. the game was difficult to play because in order for your city to survive it needs energy but that also polutes the air

  48. i agree with jimmy you cant make everyone happy you just have to balance it out

    ReplyDelete
  49. i agree with connor, this is a really hard game and trying to keep EVERYONE happy is really difficult.
