  2. I never realized that bottled water was such a problem and thought that if people just recycled the bottles after using them then it wouldnt make a big difference to the enviornment. It's not fair that people living near refinaries in places like Texas are becoming sick and dying because its out of their control now because their houses are most likely unsellable. I have been using a reusable water bottle recently and im going to try to minimize my use of bottled water. and fianlly, i think that everyone should try to use a reusable water bottle and try to get at least one person to use one as well. if we speread the word then we can try to stop the problem!

  3. I just found its nuts that people are getting cancer in the areas where they are making plastice bottles. Thats the only real problem i think their is when it comes to water bottles. I doubt we will run out of water seeing as 70 percent of earth is water

  4. Is there anything that doesn't cause cancer now? Who would have thought bottled water could have been such a problem to not just our environment but to ourselves too. Our water supply problem is definitly a problem worth addressing. Cause if people don't know, they don't care.

  5. Water bottles can cause cancer, polution, and severe littering. Everyone should use containers that are reuseable like cute little coozies and thermuses. but as for they water i dont think the earth will ever run out seeing as the world is basically made up of the ocean.

  6. Not only do water have a chance to cause cancer, but so many are produced every year and arent recycled that this could cause a huge problem. 80% of bottles that are made aren't recycled

    ReplyDelete
  7. I agree with Jimmy I really don't think were gonna have a water problem any time soon.

  8. That movie made me feel bad for all the people who have to live near those plants that produce the bottles, and that drain the water. All these companies care about is profit, and it's scary that we could all get sick from the bottles.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I agree with Aaron, recycling is a problem, we need to do more of it.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Aaron is totally right. 80% of bottles arnt recycled, thats crazy. Everyone needs to do their part and have a carbon footprint.

  11. I think that it is crazy how some companies think that they can own water..it's water anyone can own water. I am sure that if I started taking water from random places and selling it with a label of myself on it some people would be very upset.

Seeing the water test (where a restaurant served people "fancy water" that actually was tap water) really made me look at bottled water differently. Why should I spend more money on bottled water when I can get water from the kitchen sink and it will be the same exact thing. In some ways I think that water companies are really being bad businesses by lying to their consumers and about their products.

  12. I had no idea that bottled water was such an issue, I don't think many poeple realize what chemicals are relased into the air and water through the process of bottling water. Watching the movie kind of grossed me out because I drink so much bottled water. Its ridiculous that people are getting cancer from the creation of bottled water in Texas.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I agree with kenny, recycling is an issue; more poeple should do it.

  14. after watching the video i has really opened my eyes to the bottled water business. it has really made me think differently about purchasing bottled water because if its the same quality as tap water we are just wasting money on what we think is better water. also the companies that run the bottled water industry are pretty much scam artists for selling us water that we can get at home for twice as less the cost

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think that its stupid for people to buy bottled water because its the same thing as regular tap water, there no difference other then the fancy name that makes people think that its "better". I dont think companies should own water because by them making bottle water and theyre convincing people to buy it because theyre making them think that its better then regular tap water, when its not.

    ReplyDelete
  16. After watching these it changed my view on water bottles and I also agree with gillis about doing more recycling. I knew many things cause cancer but i didn't know that even the material/chemicals in water bottles could cause it as well. The companies that own water seem not pay attention to what the bottles can do to other people.

    ReplyDelete
  17. i agree with myles and amanda, purchasing bottles of water is the same as tap water , we dont need to waist money on bottles of water when we can just use our own containers of water, i think anyone can own a water company because theres no difference in a bottle of water and tap water , its the same thing. Also i had no idea it was a issue til now , and i never knew a bottle of water can cause cancer..... thats crazy

  18. It amazes me that water companies believe that water is rightfully theirs to sell for money. Water is for everyone to have and to drink, but again we as Americans take in the thought that bottle water is fresher and better than regular tap water. All bottle water is is tap water in a bottle nothing else, but upon the water entering the bottles are contaminated with posionous found in the plastic.
After watching the movie, it changed my view of the water companies and the products they sell. the commericals now make me laugh at the boggus facts they tell us but dont tell us the facts about the harm it causes. i agree 100% with Lauren that the companies are liars and cant be trusted, but fault also falls on the customers

    ReplyDelete
  19. I agree with Amanda. It is stupid that people buy bottled water because somehow it tastes better when tap water is exactly the same. Water doesn't really have a taste so I feel like people just make excuses. But then again I think bottled water so.. -_- But I will try not to buy it anymore lol

  20. Drink bottled water*

  21. This movie has made me think different about bottled water. I used to think there wasn't really anything wrong with bottled water and that it was extremely pure. I found out that it causes problems with the amount of plastic that is used to bottle it and that it really is not as pure as they say it is. It is definitely not any more pure than tap water. I think the water companies shouldn't have all the rights that they are using to take water and use it for bottled water. I don't think they should own as much water as they do.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree with Anthony that the companies should be laughed at for all the bogus claims they make that are half true and all the water that they claim for themselves should be shared with everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The movie made me realize that the water companies make it seem like bottled water is much healthier and better tasting than tap water. But, in reality, tap water and bottled water are very similar and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I agree with Daniel. Bottled water uses a lot of plastic and hurts the environment, which could be avoided if people drank more tap water.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think that it is crazy how some companies think that they can own water its a common resource for everyone to share. The movies we saw in class made me look at bottled water differently. it made me think why should I spend more money on bottled water when I can get water from the kitchen sink it will be essentially the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree with nick, the bottled water companies should need to put exactly how they make their water on the bottle.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The movies were pretty serious. It makes me sick what's going on. I realized how much profit theses water companies make off of tap water. All that money and Im on the sideline? Makes me think about trying to start my own bottled water business if it wasn't such a detriment to the environment and human health. Maybe instead of plastic bottles, I'll use reusable glass. It'll cut profits but I may gain more support since my bottles are reusable. Problem Solved.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree with Jimmy. Someone such as him (scored 27 points in one bball game)clearly knows what he is talking about. Water is completely reusable. Water taken from one area ends up somewhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  29. i also agree with aaron. but i believe that the people in these countries can easily solve their water problems by cleaning it out by using several methods. for example, they can boiling the water and collect the steam and the steam will quickly turn into clean water.

    ReplyDelete
  30. bottled water nd tap water is the same thing.. get a re-usable containers or a water bottle that is refillable instead of spending money on bottled water....
kyles point makes since "how some companies think that they can own water its a common resource for everyone to share"

    ReplyDelete
  31. The movie made me realize that the water companies make it seem like bottled water is much healthier and better tasting than tap water. But, in reality, tap water and bottled water are the same thing, people are just being fooled by the large companies.

    ReplyDelete
  32. i agree with chris, tap and bottled water are almost exactly the same. the big name companies make it seem like their water tastes better and is better for you, when really its the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  33. my names lauren felaccio, i never really knew the issue with bottled water, i thought it was better then tap water but its pretty much the same if its cleaned. i agree with kyle how water companies should have a disclaimer on where the water comes from ect.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I never knew water bottles were such a danger to the environment. i figured it is better to drink a water bottle then tap water because it seems dirtier, but i definatly and going to start using reusable water bottles to try and save the environment a little bit more.

I agree with Erica Goodman's comment 100% she had a very good point by saying try to have one person along with yourself use a reusable water bottle to help save the world!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. i never knew bottled water was such a problem. people around the world are living in a drought because all their water is getting taken away and used for bottled water. tap waters not that much different they shoudl cut down on water bottles and ppl should just drink tap water! it'd make a differencee

    ReplyDelete
  36. Our nature has always been to destroy ourselves. We cannot change the world by ourselves or stop cancer, we need to educate people whats going on by using videos like this and telling the truth. I agree with erica that these companies have caused people to die for their profit.

    ReplyDelete
  37. After watching the video about water issues ; I didn't relize that bottled water and faucet water are the same. When buying water bottles; we are just wasteing our money because everyone can get water from there faucet. Not only are we paying for water that we already have ; but waater bottles also cause pollution, which isn't good for the enviroment.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I also agree wid connor.

    ReplyDelete
  39. after watching these video's i think that people should buy re-usable water bottles and just put tap water in them instead of buying bottled water. this would save us money and help the enviorment.
i agree with amanda. i did not know that bottled water and tap water were the same.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The water companies that produce the water bottles we have charge us for the convinience of carrying our water when we could take it from the tap and fill a bottle ourselves

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree with connor, hes a genious!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't think its right that bottled water is usually the same as tap water you can get at your house. The way its publicized it seems like it is better, and this needs to be fixed. I think more people would use reuseable water bottles if they knew what this.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I completely agree with Erica.... I need to get a new reusable bottle because I drink so much bottled water.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think that companies shouldn't be able to own water because all they are doing is selling us water at a higher price than our tap water and the same quality. Ultimately, this makes water companies look unethical and people should know the truth about what they're drinking so these companies can be stopped.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I agree with anthony, bottled water commercials seem funny to me now too.

    ReplyDelete
  46. i agree with chris the water bottle companies are pretty much selling us the water we get for free and making a killing off of it

    ReplyDelete
  47. Other developing countries opposed to the US can't even find 5 gallons of water & the US citizens use 150 gal. a day. After the years keep going by states like CA are going to run out of water. People are taking so much advantage thinking theres no limit but there really is a limit. There is a limit of resources just as there is to life. A lot of the water is not being regulated and conserved properly. The botteld water it tap water in which we can just put into our own RE USABLE waterbottles. They advertise and make it appealing but are really tricking us to watch the water on TV and in stores be the water coming out of your own sink.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The fact that we have to buy water is just absurd. These "purified" water brands are probably not even purified and we're basically getting swindled out of money for this water that is basically nothing more than tap water.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think its rediculous that companies "own" water. It is the countries or islands water- not some rich corporation! I believe that this just shows how money is way too important in society which it shouldnt be! I will never buy bottled water.

    ReplyDelete
  50. i agree with kyle people should put how they get their water on the lable.

the fact that people are getting cancer from this is insane and sad, because just as simple using a reusable bottle could help the problem.

and even though james, the earth is 70% water only 2% of the planet's water is fresh, but 1.6% in the polar ice caps and glaciers. 0.36% is found underground Only about 0.036 percent of the planet's total water supply is found in lakes and rivers

    ReplyDelete
  51. After watching the videos, i was amazed that most bottled water is the same as tap water and that companies "own" the water. Its really sad that the people who live in the areas are getting cancer.

    ReplyDelete
  52. the movies made me feel diffrent about bottled water becasue i didnt know that u could actually get sick from the plastic. alsoi think companies owning water is stupid because water is water and its all the same.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The movies made me want to clean up all the waterbottles that accumulated in the ocean. I was also stunned by the fact that most watter bottle companies just used tapp water instead of actual spring water.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think it's really scary that water bottles emit toxins into the water if they are used to much. I guess I won't be refilling my water bottles anymore! D:

    ReplyDelete
  55. I do feel differently about bottled water. Companies owning water is a ridiculous concept. They're taking a limited water supply for granted, and pumping thousands and thousands of gallons of water out of the ground in towns. These towns don't see a cent of profit made from the distribution of the water.

    ReplyDelete
  56. i feel differntly about bottle water i thought it was nowhere near this situation
